Mark Parrish is a painter influenced by Dutch master painting and the alternative and punk culture of the 1960s–1980s. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Atlanta College of Art and later received an MFA from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Parrish began exhibiting in Atlanta before expanding to New York and Philadelphia in the 1990s. His work has since been shown in Brooklyn, Miami, Tampa, Los Angeles, Stockholm, San Francisco, Boston, and Ontario, Canada.
In addition to his studio practice, Parrish has nearly 30 years of experience working in galleries and museums in Atlanta and New York, including serving as Chief Preparator at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. He currently works as Associate Curator at the Museum of Art DeLand and has an upcoming exhibition in Boston in 2026.
