Born in Atlanta, Sherry comes from a musical family, with roots in gospel and traditional Southern music through her mother and grandfather. Influenced by genres ranging from Motown and rock to jazz, folk, and bluegrass, she has been writing and composing songs since childhood.
In her early 20s, she began performing locally, developing a solo act featuring guitar, original songs, and diverse arrangements. She has performed with rock and bluegrass bands, fronted a jazz quartet, and worked as a vocalist on the convention circuit, bringing a versatile, distinctive style to every performance.
