The St. Johns River Festival of the Arts takes place along scenic tree-lined, brick-paved streets
in Historic Sanford, Florida within two-blocks of The St. Johns River and Lake Monroe. Sanford is the County seat for Seminole County.

Major highways nearby allow convenient access into Sanford by way of: Interstate 4, State Roads 46, SR46A, SR417 and U.S. Hwy 17-92.

Transportation: Two major airports serve the area – Orlando/Sanford International Airport and Orlando International Airport.  The AMTRACK Auto Train Station is located within the Sanford city limits. And the Lynx bus system operates throughout the metro area.

Proximity to other Florida Cities: Altamonte Springs-13 miles, Daytona Beach-38, DeLand-23, Deltona-12, Jacksonville-124, New Smyrna Beach-31, Orlando-25, Oviedo-11, Tampa–108 miles. map

Accomodations: Many national hotels chains are located within a six-mile drive of downtown Sanford and neighboring city of Lake Mary. Accommodations include single-room and suite hotels, luxury hotels and guest houses. Attractions: Sanford is home to The Sanford River Walk Trail, Wayne Densch Theater of Performing Arts, and The Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the Orlando/Sanford International Airport, Seminole State College of Florida, The Historic Sanford Welcome Center, Sanford Museum, Museum of Seminole County History, Sanford Memorial Stadium and many scenic parks and recreation facilities.

Sanford also is located within a 45-minute drive of world-famous destinations such as Daytona Beach, Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Studios and Gatorland.

The City of Sanford offers free WiFi access throughout the entire Festival area.

Set-up: Friday May 1, 3pm – 9pm or

            Saturday, May 2, 7am – 9am

Festival Hours

Open Saturday, May 2nd, 10 am – 6pm

Sunday May 3rd, 10 am – 5 pm

Application Open

September 1st, 2014

Application Deadline

March 15, 2015 Midnight EST

After February 1st only side street locations can be guaranteed. 

Jurying Begins

Three weeks of receipt of your application

Jury Fee

A $25 jury fee must be submitted with your art festival application.

Booth Fee

A 10’X10’ both space is $225 on First Street and $165 on a side street, double space is $450 on First Street and $330 on a side street. When accepted, the booth fee must be remitted within two weeks of receipt of your email acceptance notification to reserve your booth. Please make check payable to St. Johns River Festival of the Arts.

Complete your application online or print and mail to St. Johns River Festival of the Arts, Inc. P.O. Box 223, Sanford FL 32772-0223.

4 Jpeg images are required with your application; 3 of artwork representative of the work that will be exhibited in the show and 1 of your booth display.

Acceptance

Applicants: Please check your email. All artists who are accepted into the festival will be notified by email no later than three weeks after receipt of their application. A letter of acceptance will also be mailed to confirm. Failure to remit booth fee in the allotted time will result in the booth space no longer reserved and will be offered to an artist on the waiting list. There are a limited number of booths available.

Refunds

No refunds will be made after acceptance email and letter of acceptance.
